Tips for a carpenter CV
Say if you work on homes or larger buildings
Residential and commercial carpentry need different skills. Say which you have done and give one or two examples.
Show the full range of your work
List the stages you know: framing, roofing, formwork, fit-out or finishing. Employers often look for one of these.
Name your tools
Mention the tools you use every day, such as nail guns, mitre saws, routers and laser levels.
Add your safety tickets
Scaffolding, working at heights and first aid tickets are worth listing with their dates.
Add photos of your work
Photos of finished stairs, frames or fit-outs show your quality quickly. Add them in the work photos section of your CV.
