- Applying to a large employer or through an online form? ATS Plain is the safest choice: one column that applicant tracking systems read easily.
- One or two columns: two-column templates look great and our PDFs keep real text, but some older systems read one column more reliably.
- Photo or no photo depends on the country: usually no photo for Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK; for Gulf jobs and in Germany a photo is often included but optional. Our country guides explain more.
- Applying abroad? Global Mobility puts your work rights, skills assessments and language tests up front.
- Not sure? Start with any template. You can change it at any time and your details stay the same.
