Tips for a civil engineer CV

List your main projects

For each key project, give the type, your role and, if you can share it, the size or value. Keep the numbers accurate.

Name your software

List the design and drawing software you really use, such as AutoCAD, Revit or structural analysis programs.

Show registration or chartership

Write your registration or chartered status, the body and the country, exactly as on your certificate.

Show your assessment for abroad

If a professional body in another country has assessed your qualification, add the body, the result and the date.

Lead with results

Short lines on what you delivered (on time, on budget, safely) are stronger than a list of tasks. Only claim what you can explain in an interview.
