Tips

Tips for a heavy vehicle driver CV

Write your licence class exactly

Copy the licence classes exactly as they appear on your licence, for example "C and CE", with the country that issued it.

Name your vehicles and trailers

Say which trucks and trailers you drive: rigid, articulated, tanker, refrigerated or curtain-side. Add any other licences, such as forklift.

Describe your routes

Say if you drive local, long-distance or international routes, and which countries or regions you know.

Show a clean record

If your driving record is clean, say so in your profile. Only write it if it is true.

List your driver certificates

Add professional driver certificates, dangerous goods training and tachograph cards, with their expiry dates.

Working abroad

Applying in another country?

Whether you can use or convert your licence abroad, and which tests you need, depends on the country. See the country guides for the official links.
