Tips for a barber and hairdresser CV
List the services you offer
Name each service you do well: fades, scissor cuts, beard work, shaves, colour or women's cuts. Employers want to know what you can do on day one.
Use client numbers only if they are real
A line like "up to 20 clients a day" helps, but only if you can back it up.
Show your work
Add photos of your cuts, or a link to your work on Instagram or TikTok. Make sure the account looks professional.
Add your certificates
Write your barbering or hairdressing certificate exactly as it appears, with the school and year. Add hygiene or first aid training too.
Show your people skills
Regular clients, a friendly manner and training juniors all matter in a shop. Say so in your profile.
Applying in another country?
What barbers and hairdressers need to work in another country is different in each place. See the country guides for what to show on your CV.
