Tips for a chef CV
Describe your kitchen
Say what kind of kitchen it was (hotel, restaurant, catering) and how many covers you did on a busy night, if you know it.
Name your cuisines and sections
List the cuisines you cook and the sections you have run, such as pastry, grill, sauce or pasta.
Add your food safety certificate
Write the certificate name and level exactly as on the paper, with the year. Allergen training is worth adding too.
Show your menu work
If you have written menus, costed dishes or run specials, say so. It shows you can do more than cook.
Show how you lead
Say how many cooks you trained or led. Keep the numbers real.
